Medela, a leading manufacturer of breast
pumps, will have even stronger competition in the near future.
Whittlestone, which makes the unique expression nursing pump,
has a new pump in the last stages of testing. It will combine
their expresser technology with a more powerful pumping action
which should make them the fastest to acheive let-down.
At this time, Ameda and Whittlestone are
the best alternatives to the Medela breast pump. Ameda, in
our opinion, is actually a better breast pump that the Medela.
Just the fact that Ameda does not allow milk or bacteria to
back up into the tubes or pump ( Medela does not have an FDA
approved method of preventing this on their Pump In Style
models) gives them our vote.
